Live in and Let Live

Easy Way In or…Out…

I have written earlier about marriage, it is now time to mention, how, many have tweaked the legal system out to make it mutually convenient for the similar Partnership.

One word says it all ….Live-In and Let Live

People have long since started living in.
It gives the added sense of freedom.
You are my woman Yes and you are my man Yes…..but I still have my space.

Somehow the definition of a marriage brings out other random obligations, like for an example to entertain parents and family.

In a live in, I guess many choose to keep it discreet that they are living in and thus entail their privacy in many ways.

This in many ways I feel is the right thing to do (pardon me you conservative thinkers!)
With living in with a partner, one gets to realize and learn many things about the other person with experience.

The joys and sorrows which turn them on.
Their moods and when not to tread their space.
The fights and how to end them.
The sharing of responsibility and splitting the bills.
The values to which each one taps their feet to.
The habits which make the moods of the house!

So there infact are more advantages to living in than a conservative person would think.
I feel all couples who have been engaged, should live in initially for a period of 6 months and see how they get along amicably…
This would be a nice Boot camp for their long lives to come..

This would lead to a more stable family and thus a farther stable society

Pandora's Box

But truly...It is how it can be best spelt out in one Short Sentence...
The City of Bangalore is to foresee a Pandora's Box of Troubles Creep out with ironically the thought of Expanding the City for Better Growth!

It is But an Ugly sight, an Eyesore, to see the Bangalore Metro being constructed on all the important roads......
The stretch of MG Road which was a nice sight has long been destroyed with the huge support pillars of Metro standing tall in the midst of it all.

Bangalore has seen an explosion in traffic after an explosion in population since a decade ago.....Growth in Infrastructure is necessary but it is being done hastily.
If good planning was executed, the city would foresee an infrastructure to last it for another 25 years ahead, compared to what is being built which has already lost its purpose.

It is not only the Metro which will be insufficient to support traffic in the future, examples of such hasty construction have been seen in the recent past.
Magic Boxes......The prefabricated materials put into place to create an underpass in less than 48 hours, the small flyover in Sankey Road.....to name a few......

The design in itself is flawed and has seen cracks and leaks within months of being built and have been shut down ever so frequently to traffic, nor has it eased traffic in any better way.

There are designs and materials available to make such structures lighter and more efficient in terms of convenience to vehicles using them.
The locations chosen for them are flawed again...........Traffic regulations and designs need to be overlooked as well.

If the authorities could use the current infrastructure.........it would cut down costs in Crores towards building anything new....
My Suggestion - Use the current railway lines which run in the city, railway stations at Malleswaram, Yeshwantpur and K.R.PURAM.......use these lines, put in new coaches and create trains to ferry people domestically...like it is being done since long in Chennai and Mumbai.

This will be so affordable, people would prefer it over their 2 and 4 wheelers.
Create new lines, so these trains could run to IT parks at ITPL and Electronic City.
This would even keep the Metro away.....

In countries abroad, the concept of a Metro has been long shelved and they use Subway Railway Systems.

What Bangalore needs is Domestic Railways to ease congestion. I doubt if Metro would serve that purpose.
And for what reason is the government taking 4 years to complete the project?
It is not like they do not have sufficient funds!! They have not chosen the right people for the contract! Overpasses over a mile long are built within 6 months in the USA.
I would disagree with anyone saying this is India and is developing.

If a country is a Nuclear Superpower and has its own space probe being launched to the moon, it sure can build a world class Infrastructure within its cities.

India seems to be going in the past into obsolescence in Infrastructure design than looking into the future.
